I find Lore of Life to be far superior to Heavens or Beast for Bretonnia for the simple fact that you already have enough damage output in your armies in the form of your elite units, what you need is the extra longevity that Life provides. Bretonnia is in a really weird spot for magic because the lores we have access to are very good, but not necessarily for the Bretonnians specifically. Magic is one aspect of the game that I feel is really balanced. For the longest time I've v been someone who almost exclusively used damage dealing spells. Recently I've been seeing the greatness of buff save debuff spells but still struggle determining who to buff/debuff and when. That stated i probably lean towards Heaven and Light.
